Minot North Dakota (ND) Real Estate is very unique at this time with several factors contributing to EXTREME growth that is projected to continue for at least 10 years. At this time we are a small community of 32,000. In such a small community I as a Realtor need to know Residential, Commercial, Farm, Ranch, and Vacation Property Real Estate. However Minot North Dakota is expected to double in size in the next 5 to 10 years because of an oil boom and additions to the Minot Air Force Base. It was announced early this year (2008) that an oil formation (The Bakkin Formation) of HUGE proportions sits a mile below a huge chunk of Minot North Dakota. It is said this find is bigger then the formation under the Middle East. That being said several major players in the oil business world wide are setting up shop in Minot North Dakota. Add the announcement that The Minot Air Force Base is adding another squadren of B-52's and the 1,000 troups needed to maintain them PLUS two of Minot's largest employers will be adding hundred of new employees You have a Population Explossion projected to at least double our current population. Things have barely started at this point, 05/10/2008, and there is hardly a home to be rented and today we actually have more Realtors then homes on the market (REALLY!!!). I have a lot of experience in relocation as we are a few miles from the Minot Air Force Base. I have worked with many investors and speculators. Unlike much of the Nation that is plagued with foreclosures the Minot North Dakota is a VERY strong Sellers market. Yesterday our office listed two properties and they both sold with-in the hour of being listed.
