On January 27, 2015, security vulnerability CVE-2015-0235 codenamed GHOST was announced. We don't believe there is any way for us to be attacked by this vulnerability, but out of an abundance of caution we are updating to the latest versions anyways. On January 8th we were informed by Rackspace that one of our cloud server physical hosts is alerting for bad RAM. Our servers use ECC (Error Correcting Code) RAM and can handle a few errors, but when they start to happen, its time to replace the RAM before the server crashes. In an effort to prevent unplanned downtime, we have scheduled an Emergency Maintenance with Rackspace to replace the RAM in this server.
