I have a headache from working on a new listing plug-in for my Orland Park real estate website that will show nice, professional listings with thumbnail photos and other features. I’ve been working with the designer for two days but we just can’t get it to work on my blog/site. That reminded me of this series I’m writing about and I need to take a breather from that. To refresh your memory, I had a very busy couple of weeks where I needed everything to work smoothly. Of course, that’s... Read Full Post

If you are a home seller, how can you be sure that your home will be easily found by a buyer doing a search in your neighborhood? Print media is no longer where home buyers go to look for homes. There is a benefit to using a Tech Savvy agent who is at the top of the technology curve to sell your home.... Read Full Post

A very important concept in programing a system that will be used by people is Input Validation. When programmers miss this it can make life difficult for others trying to deal with the data. As I deal with IDX Data I come across this a lot. I recently had a feed with 32 different spellings of a city name. Many of them were just typos like a semicolon (;) instead of an l ( the keys are next to each other on most keyboards ). Other cases were misspellings or variations of a name. An example wo...
