My name is Annie Maloney and I am a real estate agent for Century 21 MVP in Sevierville, Tennessee. My family and I moved from West Palm Beach, FL. to East Tennessee in 2004 and we LOVE it. People are always asking me, "You moved here from Florida, why?". We chose to move to Tennessee in an effort to provide a better lifestyle for our family. We love the people, the surroundings (those are our sunsets every night!), and the slow pace of life. Nothing against Florida, our life was just heading in a direction that Florida wasn't.
The areas of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Maryville and Knoxville are wonderful, This of course is my opinion. There are many people that tell me that they could not live here and deal with all the tourism and traffic that is generated by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and all the attractions in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Specifically Dollywood and Splash Country. Once you live here you learn the backroads very quick. Thats right, the county actually has put in roads off the beat and path that allow the locals to bypass all the traffic from tourism in the seasonal months. Pretty cool.
For my first blog post I would like to poll everyone that has visited this area to see what their experience was. Was it good or bad? Would you return? Would you or have you ever considered relocating here? What did you like or dislike the most?
Well thanks for reading. I look forward to reading your responses.
Sincerely, Annie Maloney Affiliate Broker Century 21 MVP Sevierville, TN www.anniemaloney.com - www.tngoldteam.com

Well, I think you made a great move then. If it is good for your family it cannot be wrong. I grew up in a small town in Norther Minnesota and I would not change that for anything. I look back on all the things I was able to do as a kid and there is no way I would let my child do it now. Not here. At 11 or 12 years old my friend and I would ride our bikes to a Hydro electric dam where there were also waterfalls and lots of 40 to 70 foot cliffs that you could jump off of into the river. (we actually did jump many times it was really fun) It was a 6 mile ride to get there each way. Can you imagine doing that anyplace but small town America?
