The White House… saved from foreclosure!

Oh, you thought that I meant President Obama’s new home at 1600 Pennsylvania? My mistake… I was referring to a recent near foreclosure in Atlanta, Georgia at 3687 Briarcliff Rd.

 Maybe you can notice the similarities between Obama’s white house and Fred Milani’s home in Atlanta.

 Fred Milani, the owner of the Atlanta White House, did not know what to do when he received a foreclosure notice on his outstanding loan of 1.7M. The resident and builder is Fred Milani, who is a 57 year old home builder. He lives in his White House replica in DeKalb County, which includes 6 beds, 7.5 baths, 16,258 sq ft, a Lincoln bedroom, and even an Oval Office. The credit of saving Milani’s home from foreclosure is given to a faith-based coalition in Atlanta. The faith-based coalition of churches and community activists calls itself "A Mighty Move of God" (AMMOG), and they usually come to the aid of less fortunate home owners. In this case then connected Milani with their lawyer who worked out an agreement with the lender for repayment of the 1.7M loan.

While Milani is very proud of his home, many of his neighbors are not. Now Milani is happy to not be facing foreclosure, and has now put his property for sale. The Atlanta White House, which stands at 1/3 the size of the real White House, was put on the market for the price of 9.88M dollars. Upon further research, I believe that the property is now off the market (Maybe a Realtor from the FMLS can chime in and check the address’ history at 3687 Briarcliff Rd NE Atlanta GA 30345)
