Whittier CA: An Established Family Oriented suburb in East Los Angeles County

The city of Whittier offers a little something for everyone, no matter your tastes.

There’s the Whittier Village Cinemas movie theater, bike trails, a strong tradition of preserving local history and unique, locally-owned shops and restaurants to enjoy in uptown Whittier. The city’s Greenleaf Avenue offers shops selling home decor, articles from Mexico and restaurants with attractive decor and menus like Seta on Philadelphia St or Phlight on Bright Ave.  Not far away from Whittier homes, a newly-created bike trail leads residents from neighborhoods to shops.  An annual city festival, city landmarks and a museum all pay tribute to John Greenleaf Whittier, a Quaker poet. The city’s first settlers were Quakers who wanted to pay tribute to his work. 

Whittier homes median prices range between $300,000 and $400,000. Whittier real estate is bordered by Hacienda Heights on the northeast and the City of Industry on the north. Pico Rivera lies at the west, La Habra Heights to the east, La Habra to the southeast and Santa Fe Springs to the south.

The city of Whittier is served by the Whittier Union High School District, East Whittier City School District, Whittier City School District, Lowell Joint School District and the Fullerton Joint Union High School District.
