Your home should be kept at its topmost condition during the entire time you have it on the market.  This means that you may have to do your laundry more often, consider boarding a beloved pet, and or smoke outside only.  Be sure to keep your house as clean as possible for same day showings.

Keep your nose open when walking through your front door or into any room in your home.  How does your house smell?  Does it smell of warm and friendly kitchen smells?  Does it smell like your beloved pet?  Remember, although you might be used to a certain odor in your home other people are not. 

Memories are stored by all of our senses and the sense of smell can be a very strong one.
