Chicago Home Prices: Chilling Out
Posted Feb 14, 2007 @ 12:23 am, Viewed by 789 Visitors, Read 795 Times.An index of single-family home prices for the Chicago-Naperville-Joliet area went up 4.9% in the 12 months ended Sept. 30, down from a 9.8% gain in the prior year, according to Fiserv Lending Solutions, a unit of Brookfield, Wis.-based Fiserv Inc.

Note: As you can see, Fiserv doesn't track data for every Chicago-area ZIP Code. The firm says it only has sufficient data to compute price changes for 76 of 296 Chicago-area ZIP Codes. For instance, in downtown neighborhoods most residences are condominiums, not single-family homes.
