Realty in Minnesota: Brooklyn Park Homes in Medal Contention

Brooklyn Park homes for sale now average a listing price of $219,676 (as of 6 AUG 08).  The average sale price, between May and July '08, is $207,099.  With the lowering of the average listing price, and despite lower sale prices, Brooklyn Park home sales have steadily increased since April. 

So what does this mean?...

Well, it means the sellers are adjusting their prices with the current market conditions.  It also means, most importantly, the city  of Brooklyn Park is alive and well.  The market is adjusting, as anticipated.  Yes, there is still an abundance of Brooklyn Park foreclosures, but homebuyers are beginning to see the light of opportunity, when buying a Brooklyn Park home. 

Although, the growth is fractionally minimal compared to the housing boom of 2003, people continue to move to the city of Brooklyn Park and buy Brooklyn Park homes.

So why Brooklyn Park, you ask?

Let's put it this way...Brooklyn Park is a great place to raise a family.  It is home to some excellent parks and trails, provides easy access to freeways, and it has some fine elementary schools, which makes Brooklyn Park an up and coming, first class suburb.  Afterall, the best way to calibrate a community is quality of its schools.

As a Realtor in Brooklyn Park, for over 20 years, I have heard nothing but positive comments and praise for the Woodland Elementary School (K thru 6; located off of Noble Parkway).  In fact, I actually considered sending my child there.  However, he was not very fond of the idea now - He is 31 years old.  Had I known about Woodland Elementary back then, I probably would have enrolled him!
