Discussion: The week following Christmas is historically the slowest period of the year, as the numbers above prove. That being said, there was still significantly more activity, on both the buying and listing side, than there was in the same period a year ago. Sales for the week were 15% higher than last year's period. Look for a flood of new listings coming to the market in the next few weeks, as people who've been sitting on the fence decide it's time to sell.

Thanks for the heads up on the link Sam .... it's been repaired. The Calgary market has prospered over the past 18 months ... due in large part to the price of oil.
