Davis Home Sales Stats - 2007 vs. 2006

Now contrast these numbers with a similar report for Woodland, just six miles up the road, and you will see that Woodland has seen a much more pronounced decline in these numbers year-over-year.

I include the Total Dollar Volume figures to show the health (or lack of health) of the overall market, and the impact of the housing slowdown on the incomes of Realtors, Brokers, Lenders, Title Compnies, and others who derive their income from industry related business.
It is interesting to see the contrast of two towns of similar size so close geographically, and yet two very different real estate markets.
