What's it worth,...... a stamp dilemma of value, even in Aptos

You know these stamp changes are a pain. At least postage does not change as fast, and as often as gasoline. I mail letters and sometimes colorful postcards of new real estate listings in Santa Cruz to clients. Since what I mail varies; I have a variety of stamps. Then the postage changes and I have more stamps to make up for the one or two cents that I am short for a first class. So I have a bunch of stamps. In fact a messy drawer full of stamps.

When I mail here in Aptos, there is often a line. It is better in Capitola, and they are always helpful. Just the other day I was in the Santa Cruz post office and I mentioned I had a drawer full of stamps, some of which had no denomination. So does anyone know the value of the stamp with the statue of liberty and the flag? How about the stamp with a G? Yeah, I thought so. The postal employee says bring them all in when I have a package to mail and use them then. Geez, I 'd not want to be behind me in line if I did that.

So what I did was find a site that has pictures of the stamps with their value and that has helped my dilemma. So in answer the the questions above, the stamp with the statue of liberty and the flag came out in 2000 and is worth 39 cents, the G came out in 1994 and is worth 20 cents. So there you have it. A site so easy to use a caveman can use it.

The Santa Cruz area is a vibrant community, located on the north end of Monterey Bay, and is home to artisans, beach goers, hi tech types, and college students. There is plenty of natural beauty from the ocean side coastal towns to the little mountain communities.
