Posted Dec 6, 2008 @ 11:01 am, Viewed by 877 Visitors, Read 933 Times.Santa Cruz is a beautiful spot to visit any time of year. With millions of tourists, Santa Cruz is often on the list for those who put it on their itinerary when they visit San Francisco or have business in Silicon Valley.
While our tourism is highest during the summer, the winter time is quite pretty as well, and less crowded. Santa Cruz beach homes are often in demand for rentals when people come back once they have determined that yes, this is a cool spot to visit or live. While Santa Cruz was on the top 10 a few years ago as a vacation spot, it is good once again to be recognized by a national magazine, Travel + Leisure
Travel + Leisure Magazine- Top places to enjoy Christmas Some of the Top 10 places are in the states and world wide. Here is the list of the Top 10 greatest places to spend Christmas,Santa Cruz Ca included.
- Charleston, SC
- Bali
- Bay of Islands, New Zealand
- Boston
- Edindurgh, Scotland
- Montreal, Canada
- Munich, Germany
- Park City, Utah
- Puerto Rico
- Santa Cruz, California
Like so many places in the world, some are off the beaten path, and others are more seasonal in their appeal. For instance Park City, Utah real estate gets alot of interest in the winter time because it has fabulous world class snow, and has it's day during the winter primarily, though there is lots to do during the summer as well.
Other places such as Santa Cruz are probably prettiest in the fall, though people come here for the nice beach weather. Santa Cruz has a wealth of natural beauty and activities from world class surfing, to mountain biking, kite board sailing, fishing and a variety of wineries to sample. Santa Cruz is a great year round place, and not just for Christmas.
Santa Cruz has a variety of holiday events from Surfing Santa, to Santa Cruz Lighted Boat Parade, to lots of homes prettily lit up. Seeing the old Victorian homes that ring Capitola, all lit up is a really pretty sight with Capitola Beach in the backgrround.
Since all events are free, that is especially attractive in these times. Pack up the kids take your cameras and drive or bike around to some of these pretty holiday settings and spots to visit.
The Santa Cruz California Beaches are on of the things that attract people here. The area has a vibrant array of communities, located on the north end of Monterey Bay, and is home to artisans, beach goers, hi tech types, and college students. There is plenty of natural beauty from the Santa Cruz Beach areas and other coastal beach towns like Rio Del Mar,to the little mountain communities.
