If your walls are dirty, wash them down, and invest in a good primer, a good-quality paintbrush, painter’s tape and plenty of drop clothes to protect your floors and furniture before embarking upon your painting project.

• Re-caulking and Re-grouting – There is no better way to instantly freshen up a worn countertop, bathtub or ceramic tile floor than with clean, bright grout or caulking. Before installing new grout or caulking, remove the old and thoroughly clean the surface. Then, use the proper caulking or grout for your particular situation, and make sure to match the color.
