My Neighbors Have Their House for Sale

Unfortunatley, the home is not listed with this realtor in Hamilton.  However, they did put it for sale with the real estate agent who sold it to them.  I can respect that and forgive them.  I live in a mature part of Hamilton Ontario where big old trees line the streets and the homes are full of character, lots of inlay hardwood, stained glass windows, gumwood trim etc.  The downside is parking or lack of it.  So I watch with amusement at the initial flurry of showings with sales agents and their clients showing up in 2 or 3 cars trying to find someplace to park.  What amazes me is the rudeness of many agents.  They pull into everyone else's driveway as if that was their right or pull up in front of driveways blocking parked cars.  They don't knock on doors to ask if its ok or even leave a note on the windshield to let others know where they can be found.  In our fast paced market place where properties are being sold very quickly, I understand the need for urgency and I know that nobody wants to spend time looking for parking places.  And to be honest, I have been guilty at times of doing the same thing.  I've also been a neighbor who has been blocked in.  Perhaps as professional Realtors, we need to plan better, perhaps meet somewhere and travel in one car or just simply ask permission.  Who knows.  Maybe that neighbor will so appreciate our courtesy, they may think of us when they consider selling their own home.  My eyes have been opened and I will strive to repect the people who live along side of those who have listed their homes for sale.
