Tucked away between Mississippi Avenue and Evans, from Cherry
Creek Parkway South to Colorado Boulevard, is one of Denver’s most
conveniently located neighborhoods, the Virginia Village subarea.
Virginia Village has something for everyone, and can be found just
to the East and South of downtown Denver.
Virginian Village real estate encompasses a couple of the premier
mid-century
modernist Denver neighborhoods. These two neighborhoods are
Krisana Park and Lynwood. Both were originally built by H.B. Wolff.
The former Krisana Park is a community that includes 175 homes in
four different styles, known as the 3-D Contemporary. This
subdivision was promoted as the first planned subdivision in
Denver, according to Wolff. Lynwood followed Krisana Park a few
years later, and its 80 homes feature newer designs and styles
including the A-Frame.
Virginia Village real estate provides all sorts of dining,
retail and shopping opportunities for residents. It is just moments
away from the Cherry Creek shops, as well as having easy access to
the Denver light rail system and to I-25.
The homes that make up Virginia Village can vary greatly from one
area to the next. You’ll find high-rise condominiums and
apartments, as well as ranch style homes. You have the interesting
architecture of Wolff, of course, as well. The median price of a
home in Virginia Village is around $241,000.
