Top Producer 7i vs 8i

I have been using Top Producer 7i for about 4-5 years. I really like the automatic email campaigns, mailing campaigns, mass mail & marketing features.

The contact managment, notes, activities are not the greatest, but I find Top Producer 8i to be much, much harder to use. Anybody else tried using 8i, but find 7i to be much, much better?

I would really like to see the ability for Top Producer and Outlook to syncronize. This would be a big help. What other software are Realtor using for long term following plans & management.

Try using salesforce.com - I never liked the clunky design of TP but liked 7 much better than 8. Someone mentioned salesforce to me and I tried it and love it. I can't say how much I like it more than TP. It takes some to get it setup but well worth the effort. Things I really like:

* I check a box and an email sends

* I check another box on a lead and an email campaign starts.

* I make a call, check a box and then a new call gets assigned to me in two days and an email is sent to the lead about the call I just made.

* everything is custom - I can make new fields and put them where I want, these fields can have anything I want in them and they can be a drop down box, fill-in, check box, etc.

* I"m not sure if it syncs with outlook but I haven't tried. TP didn't do that very well and I'm OK using outlook as a stand-alone.

* TP is great for being already setup so that is the downside to SalesForce but again, the effort is well worth it. I've been using it for about a year and haven't had to customize anything since I finished the first time
