Where Is The Best Place To Find MLS Listings For Home Buyers

photo Dennis Pease

Search The MLS To Find All Real Estate ListingsThis may seem like a simple question here on realestatewebmasters.com, but to the average Joe, do you think they know? In fact many people that think they know the right answer would answer this incorrectly (if you're not searching in the right place you may miss your dream home).

Unfortunaly the majority of consumers do not know what agents know when it comes time to find the best and most complete, up to date source for real estate listings.

The typical home buyer wants to know about all the real estate listings on the MLS that fit their specific wants and needs. There are some large companies out there that have deceived the public, they boast of 3 million plus listings accross the country, they offer worthless zestimates and heat maps and they…

EPerks To Sue Blogger - Freedom Of Speech Threatened

photo Dennis Pease

ePerks is one of those 3rd party lead generation companies and is probably the worst of the worst. Most of us despise these companies but you have got to read the lengths this company has gone to in order to silence a Blogger from discussing the way they do business and have treated people from his own blog.

The story has been posted on Active Rain and is one you really should check out since this is an infringement on our Freedom Of Speech rights.

EDIT 6/6/2008: More legal action is thrown out there, this time at Trace Richardson over at BrokerScience.com.

Also another real good article on this has been written by Andy Beard iHype & ePerks - How To Kill A Startup.

Earth Day - What Does It Mean To You? Comments...

photo Dennis Pease

Earth Day 2008The story goes that Earth Day was conceived by Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin after a trip he took to Santa Barbara, CA right after that dreadful oil spill off their coast in 1969. He was so outraged by what he saw that he went back to Washington and passed a bill designating April 22 as a national day to celebrate the earth.

In September 1969, at a conference in Seattle, Washington, it was announced that in the spring of 1970 there would be a nationwide grassroots demonstration on the environment. There was a rising concern of an environmental crisis sweeping the nation's college campuses and so it was that on April 22, 1970 the First Earth Day came into being with 20 million Americans going into the streets for peaceful demonstrations in favor of…

Buyers Purchasing Real Estate Now - Don't Get Left Behind

photo Dennis Pease

Real Estate Agreement - Florence OregonThe fact is that people who can think for themselves and don't let the media hype scare them are the same people that usually do the opposite of everyone else and at the end of the day, they are the ones that make money before the rest of the world has even figured out what is happening.

It's true, smart money makers are not followers that react to the scare tactics of the ratings whores on the 6 o'clock news every night. Instead they are well ahead of the news reports.

The news broadcasts and newspapers report history, it may be today's history but never-the-less it's history. The wise man makes history, he doesn't watch it. Stay with me here if you want to make some money.

Real estate prices have been dropping for some time, in fact long enough that…

Countrywide Financial Now Under Criminal Probe

photo Dennis Pease

The F.B.I. and the Justice Department have opened a criminal inquiry into Countrywide Financial for securities fraud. The F.B.I. investigation will take a close look at how common fraud was in Countrywide's origination process.

Their management is suspected of misrepresenting the quality of its mortgages in routine securities filings, which would have caused investors to overvalue the loans that were used as securities worth more than $100 billion between 2004 and 2007.

This is part of a broader ongoing F.B.I. investigation involving many subprime lenders, loan officers, mortgage brokers, speculators, local and regional mortgage fraud rings, other housing professionals and Wall Street banks that packaged home loans into securities.

A class action…

Greatest Real Estate Agent In The World

photo Dennis Pease

It's been a while since I posted anything here but the new SEO contest Greatest Real Estate Agent in the World that was the idea of Eric Bramlett in Austin, TX. and with Morgan Carey generous enough to offer a free website with life time hosting I decided it was time to get back here and write an article. Hopefully this will get me in the habit of writing more.

This contest started out as a fun little experiment in SEO for an uncommon keyword phrase that would not affect anyone negatively and would just be a learning experience. It has taken on a more serious tone with Morgan's offering of the website, Eric offering 10 free articles and Tony Sena of Wannanetwork is offering 1 year of advertising.

Since official entries must use do-follow the Current the…

Open MLS - Promoted By San Francisco Lawyer David Barry And Cronies

photo Dennis Pease

San Francisco based attorney David Barry who is known for suing Realtor® Associations and MLS's across the country and his organization the Open MLS Institute is funded in part by companies who want to be able to use copyrighted information that belongs to brokerages (real estate listings) and use that information on their own web sites. Some of the funding comes from companies like Redfin, Trust MLS, Catalyst Homes, e-ListState.com, Voyager 360 and Artie Gilad from right here in Eugene, Oregon. Looking at the list above should be a reason enough to make sure this doesn't go through.

In Oregon all Realtors® are currently being assessed $100.00 each to help fight the Open MLS. I would be willing to pay ten times that amount. I hope other states are…

Who Else Wants To Make Money In Todays Real Estate Market?

photo Dennis Pease

There is doom and gloom about real estate foreclosures and lenders going out of business splattered across the evening news every single day. This is causing many home sellers to continue lowering prices  hoping to get an offer, while potential home buyers sit back and wait. Buyers Market - Florence Oregon Real Estate

The brightest investors are always a few steps ahead of the masses, history has shown this over and over. By the time the masses figure out what is going on, it's too late and that is exactly why so many people are in financial trouble now. For those that want to continue investing in real estate now is a great time.

Because of the huge inventory of homes listed for sale in nearly every market in the US there are very motivated sellers, in fact many of them are near foreclosure.… Read Full Post
