Real Estate Market Report thru 10/06

The real estate market is stronger than many people think. When comparing Greater Lane County year to date trends to the same time period in 2005, new listings increased 12.1%. On the other hand, closed sales decreased 8.5% and pending sales dropped 11.2%, so one can see listings are up, sales and pending sales are down. These numbers reflect a national trend, as much of the country is experiencing much of the same.   At the same time appreciation is on the rise.
