First Farmers Market in Somersett

Last Wednesday Somersett held its first Farmers Market and what a great success it was. I don’t think anyone knew it was going to be this successful. Over 500 people attended this great event and you can bet it will only get bigger.
There were about 10 vendors set up in the Town Square with fruits, vegetables, pasta, wine and jewelry. There was even a chair massage person there.
Rusty Strings was the live band playing Tahoe bluegrass while children danced around while their parents chatted with neighbors and enjoyed the music.
The parking lot was full and Somersett’s own Roundabout Market ran out of their fabulous fish tacos towards the end of the night.
I can’t wait to see what next Wednesday’s market brings. From what I hear they are bringing in more vendors and the live band will be the Beat Freaks. They will be hosting this event every Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm throughout the summer.
