Forsyth County issued 2484 building permits in the first nine months of this year, compared with 4,093 in the same period last year, according to county figures. That's the largest dip in residential building permits in a decade for the county known nationally for its rapid growth and upscale housing. In 20 counties in metro Atlanta, new permits are off an average of 30 percent. In the I-20 corridor, counties such as Carroll, Douglas and Rockdale are reporting drops of up to 42 percent, he said. Folks are certainly holding back and letting those inventories deplete. If your Atlanta home that you have listed has been on the market for some time without a qualified buyer or you are considering placing it on the market, step ahead of the competition and let a good home staging company prepare your home. This is not interior decorating.  It’s purposely and thoughtfully playing up the features by rearranging items to make the home more appealing to prospective buyers. This can utilize a seller’s own furnishings or add their furnishings/accessories to create that wow factor. I did do this, and it really helped me sell a couple of hard properties. The city council annexed and rezoned 227 acres on Stringer Road, Hickory Road, Ga. 140 and East Cherokee Drive from county Agriculture (AG) to city AG. About 41 acres on Ga. 140 and East Cherokee Drive were annexed and rezoned from county Residential-40 (R-40) to city R-40. Officials annexed and rezoned 92 acres on Stringer Road from Residential Development-3 (RD-3) in the county to RD-3 in the city and 52 acres from county Residential-15 (R-15) to city R-15.

The city council also annexed and rezoned 20 acres on East Cherokee Drive from AG/Residential-80 single-family residential in the county to the same designation under the city’s zoning ordinances.

Is it me,or there 3 times as many Foreclosures in the last 2 months than ever before. I know all about the sub-prime market etc.,but I just do not understand why so many people were and are house poor, and it seems now that the homes are Bank owned now, and there asset list keeps growing.
