SEALKids.com - an REW Customer paying it forward.

Over this past weekend, 22 members of the US Navy's elite SEAL Team 6 lost their lives in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. It was the worst loss of life that the SEALS have ever experienced. Due to the nature of what they do, their families and identities are sheilded from media exposure. While that is totally understandable, it also makes it difficult for people to do what they are inclined to do: Pay our respects and try to help out.

Many of the children will only hear that their dad was a hero, but will never know the true impact that their dad had on keeping us Free and Safe.

Gary Lundholm and the folks at The Real Estate Group are based in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake VA, right where SEAL Team Six is located. They have many Navy veterans as well as active duty spouses who are agents in his offices. Gary is not the kind of guy to not jump in when it comes to helping others.

So last night he launched SealKids.com - a site to help by raising $100,000 for the children of these fallen warriors. In the few hours it has been up, it is already starting to have people donate to it, It has ignited a little spark of "Pay it Forward" in his community. As many of you know, paying it forward has always been a key part of how I operate and when Gary asked me to help with the project, I was glad to donate the time to it. I could do no less when I thought about these brave families.

I'd like to ask that you visit the site. Whether you give or not is entirely up to you. Jen and I did. When we thought of our four teenagers who live safely here in the US because of the sacrifices of these brave men, we could not do otherwise.
