Louisville REALTOR profile - Stephanie Mattingly

As part of my new years' resolutions, I have commited to introducing more of my agents to the world of Real Estate Webmasters and vice-versa. I work with the BEST REALTORS in Louisville, hands down. Stephanie Mattingly is a great example of what I am talking about. Great REALTORS win and she is a winner.

After 7 years of working for another REALTOR in Lexington and a career in marketing and as a stay at home mom, she and her husband both launched their own businesses at the same time. She went into real estate (he is an engineer by trade.) What sets her apart from many other agents is her creativity in getting exposure for her clients.

YouTube  -  An example of Stephanie's marketing savvy...

Step 1: When Stephanie lists a home, she creates a cool You Tube video for it and puts it online. I like this approach MUCH better than a virtual tour and its nauseating "periscope" photos. Want to see one of her You Tube Online Open Houses? That's where she really gets going.

Step 2: Go to YouTube. Under their Search Feature type "Louisville Real Estate". Guess who's at the top of the list? Uh-huh. That's what I am talking about. Home sellers want to know what EXTRA you are going to do online--what extra effort will you make--to get them exposure in a tight market. (Kudos, Stephanie--nice work!)

Step 3: She measures her results. She can tell you how long people are staying to watch her online Open Houses. She works to create marketing pieces that capture -- and hold -- people's attention. You can hear her talk about it on a recent podcast on her blog. (Scroll down to the radio show podcast. It is 18 minutes well worth listening to IMO.)

Step 4: She works at it. She is part of our office's blogging group and she invests time and effort into staying Internet Savvy. (Her daughter even thinks she's cool...wish my 12 year old daughter said the same!!-- grin--just kidding--she does think I am OK...)

You may see her here at REW in the near future...she's been lurking and reading for a while. I hope she'll join into our merry band of tech savvy agents. I think she has a LOT to offer the community.

Finally, another thing I like about Stephanie is that she doesn't toot her own horn. She has <<QUIETLY>> become one of the Top Agents in our office (and that's saying something in our brokerage of 120!) and this after only 20 months or so in the business. In the process she has earned my admiration and respect.

I took a look at the videos. Nicely done and a grand total for the 5 videos of 342 views as of Feb 11 2008. Any idea if they have generated any traffic?
