I don't think it does anything to the search engines, I think it's for technorati's spiders to identify & verify the link. BTW - their spiders aren't working properly right now. I tried to verify both blogs & wasn't able to using this method. I was able to verify my ericbramlett.com/blog using a different method that wasn't available for REW. I think this is a pretty cool way to network, so I'm going to troubleshoot it this weekend. I want to get my REW, AR, & personal blogs verified w/ technorati.
