Austin Turkey-A-Go-Go

In today’s busy world, it is important to know how to put a feast on the table without a hassle.  The most important part of the holiday season is the family, don’t stress if you don’t have time to prepare Thanksgiving dinner yourself, here is a guide to a peaceful and happy Thanksgiving meal to go that everyone will love.  Whether you want to prepare a portion of the meal yourself or you want the whole meal prepared for you here is a list of places to shop near the Clarksville, Hyde Park and Downtown Austin neighborhoods.  We will start with

1) Wheatsville Food Co-op at 3101 Guadalupe has the bird (un-cooked) for purchase with many pre-made sides such as Vegan corn bread stuffing and many other vegetarian friendly options.  You cannot pre-order your sides, but they will be in bountiful supply during the days prior to Thanksgiving.  You can pre-order your pies. 

2) Central Market, 4001 N. Lamar has a lot too offer.  There menu plans are very good and reasonably priced.  The favorite is the “Traditional” which features a free range turkey, gravy, sweet potatoes, dressing, and a lot more for only $139.99!  You can find all of their menus online at centralmarket.com. Central Market has a very user friendly menu process. 

3) Whole Foods Market, 525 N. Lamar offers a wide range of prepared items and menu plans that are all interesting and delicious.  They have an expansive selection and it is easier to go into the store or call rather than search online (their online menu can be overwhelming), but it is worth the trip!
