Development in the Houston Residential Market

Houston developers and builders, as the New Year begins, are excited about the new developments in both the residential and commercial real estate market. The city of Houston’s top economists predict that Houston will experience a surge in the job growth rate and the economy.

The Houston real estate market has not been touched by the “subprime meltdown” that is being experienced throughout the United States. Houston’s leading economists have predicted that they see a future that is bright, with strong growth in the city’s economy and new jobs.

This means that the value of Houston homes for sale will also increase, as people flock to this prosperous city. Both the developers and builders are excited to begin new residential projects based on the positive estimates for the New Year.

Chief economist and senior vice president of Stewart Title Guaranty Company, Ted C. Jones commented, “No matter where the United States commercial market goes in terms of number transactions, Houston will remain one of the better performers in the marketplace.”

In the year 2007, there was only a slight decline in residential development. Houston builders and developers are “counting their blessings” as they prepare to embrace a profitable New Year.

The residents of Houston will benefit from several new residential projects that will add high-quality single family homes, luxury apartment dwellings and comfy lofts to the area. Right now, the Houston real estate market is a bright spot that continues to shine despite the market conditions in other parts of the country.
