Nashville Equestrian Homes
If you talk about Nashville most people immediately think of country music. Well, they wouldn't be wrong. Nashville is the capital of country music and the majority of of country music stars and songwriters live in the Nashville area. One thing you may not instantly associate with Nashville is equestrian property.

Nashville itself is much like any other city in the USA in that the downtown area has a higher concentration of buildings and not a great deal of open space or park land. However the land surrounding Nashville has traditionally been farm land and equestrian property that is now becoming accessible to a whole new market of buyers.
Franklin Horse Property
The typical horse property in the Nashville market could be found in places like Franklin where the minimum acreage would be about 5 acres. The home would have its own barn/stable and pasture fields for the horse and enough room turn out areas etc.
With the growth of upscale and specific intent neighborhood the equestrian market has discovered a new breed of buyer. The horse owner that does not want to have to go to the expense of maintaining all of the facilities need when owning a horse rather they would like to share with like minded home owners.
Hendersonville, Gallatin and more.
This has resulted in the growth of equestrian communities in the Franklin, Hendersonville, Gallatin and other areas such as Nolensville and Collge Grove.
By creating subdivisions that have a central stable, riding rings, riding trails and convenient locations to open countryside the equestrian community has succeeded in creating a whole new vision of purpose driven communities.
Equestrian Communities
In traditionally horse friendly communities in the Nashville area like Leipers Fork the growth of the luxury equestrian developments like Beechwood Plantation has given the upscale home buyer the opportunity to live in a luxury community with15-20 acres lots with like minded home owners knowing that their property will appreciate and become very attractive to other horse owners that want to move up the housing ladder with out having to reinvest in new stable and riding facilities etc.
In areas like Hendersonville and Gallatin there have always been homeowners with horse and equestrian facilities but now the new development and community will open the stable doors for many more home and horse owners. This development is called The Paddock. It has a great location and is only minutes from downtown Hendersonville and 30 from Nashville.
As the interest in equestrian communities grows and the desire to live a community that is landscaped and tailored to the horse owner we will see more and more upscale communities developing.
