Somerset Downs In Hendersonville

Somerset Downs: LINK

Somerset Downs in Hendersonville Tennessee

Located in Hendersonville on Long Hollow Pike, this subdivsion was originally all rolling farmland and mature trees.

The farmland may have been replaced by well manicured lawns, taking advantage of that rich farming soil, but the mature trees are still here...something that many new subdivisions miss out on.

There are even a few acres dedicated to an fenced in pasture for the two resident horses that live at Somerset Downs. The barn, pictured above, was renovated and now serves as a stable for the two horses. This adds to the overall country setting and adds that equestrian touch that creates that upscale ambience.

If you would like to see any of the homes listed in Somerset Downs please feel free to call Gary Ashton and…

Nashville Lakefront Homes

 Nashville Lake Homes

Old Hickory lake in Nashville Tennessee looks more like a river when you look at it on a map. Its a long winding lake and as a result has created an abundance of lakefront homes.

In the late 60's the Corp of Army Engineers decided to dam the Cumberland river and created Old Hickory lake.  As a result the newly;y created lake lots attracted the buyers with the money to build lake homes and in the 70's this tended to be the country music starts such as Jonny Cash and Roy Orbison. Unfortunately Jonny Cash's house burnt down after being bought for 2.5 million dollars by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees.

I recently sold a home two doors down for just under $2 million so the investment made by Barry Gibb will repay itself but the legend can…

 Werthan Mills Nashville TN

If you are interested in the urban lifestyle and want something more substantive and historical than the new clean cut developments like the Icon or the Signature Tower the the lofts at Werthan Mills maybe just the place for you.

The original hardwood floors all feature historical scars from the past that add an instant conversation piece to every apartment.

The exposed brick also gives the development the feeling of being in touch with the past and the exposed industrial wood beams are a feature that no one could afford to create today.

Leipers Fork Village: Homes And Real Estate

photo Gary Ashton

Leipers Fork is a small village located in the pristine rolling hills of Williamson County in Tennessee. Its situated on the Natchez Trace and was named after the pioner surveyor Hugh Leiper. It was originally settled by pioneering families given land grants in gratitude for their services and involvement in the Revolutionary War. One of these settlers, Col. Jessee Steed, was given 2504 acres which is where the Leipers Fork village is now located.

The Leipers Fork area  real estate now is becoming more and more sought after with people like Faith Hill and Tim McGraw…
