Dallas High-Rise Profile: The House by Starck

Don't look now, but another residential tower is about to start moving residents into Dallas's increasingly crowded Victory Park.  This latest addition, The House by Starck, is scheduled to begin closing buyers in December and expects to be fully occupied by May of 2009.   Our Dallas agent, Emily Ray-Porter, was able to attend a recent marketing event put together by the developer.  She reports that there are special pricing incentives for select floorplans, and that there is still time to choose from several different finish-out options. 

She also reports that The House offers a lower price per square foot than the other two newer contemporary Dallas high-rises:  The Azure and The W Dallas Residences. As of September 30, 2008, currently available units at The House are averaging $499 per square foot, the W North Tower is averaging $552 and The Azure tops out at $640.  HOA dues at The House are also scheduled to be the lowest of the three, currently estimated to come in at under .50 cents per square foot.  Each of these buildings offer great downtown views and comparable modern touches like pocket doors, museum-finish walls and floor-to-ceiling walls of glass.  Of course the Azure offers a few cool touches the others don't, like the terrace fireplaces and built-in espresso machines, but it comes with a premium cost.
