Taste of the Southside - Greenwood Indiana

The 16^th annual Taste of the Southside is taking place Sunday November 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Valle Vista Golf & conference center.  Over 40 local Greenwood restaurants will be offering an amazing selection from their kitchens such as: coffee, prime rib, desserts, mixed drinks, and wine.  Some of the restaurants attending are:
           

            - A Piece of Cake

            - Carrabba’s Italian Grill

            - Chateau Thomas Winery

            - Damon’s Grill

            - Jonathan Byrd’s Cafeteria

            - Oliver Winery

            - Any many many more.

Tickets are $30 each or 2 for $50 and can be purchased at the following locations:

            - Flower Market – 105 S. Madison Ave.

            - National Bank of Indianapolis – 1689 W. Smith Valley

            - A Piece of Cake – 1275 W. Main Street

            - Lincoln Bank – 1275 US 31

            - Valle Vista Golf & Conference Center – 755 E. Main Street

            - Greenwood Chamber of Commerce – 550 US. 31 South
 

Maybe I am a cheese hound but I love going to these events.  These events are very fun and are a great opportunity to try some national and local restaurants that you might not normally eat at.  They usually bring very good food because obviously they want you to return to their restaurants after the event.  Jonathon Byrd’s has been around so long it is an institution in Greenwood.  I normally like more local food, but I am sucker for Carrabba’s food, they have great quality at a reasonable price.  Go to this event, enjoy yourself, taste some new food, and meet some new friends.
