Here is a little background  on how a New Jersey Real Estate Transaction happens once you select a house, so that you will better understand what has happened.  New Jersey is a Attorney State.  The Legislature has taken almost all control of the nj real estate transaction our of the Realtors hands.  In actuality a Realtor cannot write a contract for purchase of a home, only a proposal for purchase.  Only the Attorneys can write a actual contract.  It gets even worse, both the buyer and the seller each have to have their own Attorney, More than double the cost involved.  Then there is a Attorney review period (usually about 3 business days) where ether the buyer or the seller can back out for any…

10 Tips for Selling Your Morris & Union County NJ Home during the Holidays

1. Keep it warm:  To show a home to its best advantage during the winter, think warm, cozy, and homey. Keep your thermostat at 70 degrees during home showing hours. If your home is vacant, install a programmable thermostat and set it to have the home at 70 during the day.

Going Green in Madison NJ 07940

If you are talking about environmental issues only that is.  When it comes to real estate their are many home sellers in Madison New Jersey who have been seeing red this fall of 2007.

October was yet another slow month for home sellers in Madison NJ and the whole of Morris County New Jersey for that matter.  Just 9 homes transferred to new owners in Madison NJ in October.  We continue to see price reductions and some homes just plain being withdrawn from the market.

Chatham New Jersey 07928 Real Estate and Home Sales

October was yet another month with few home buyers shopping for homes in Chatham New Jersey.  This means that the buyers who were willing to buy were able to negotiate extra good deals on the homes that they purchased. 

Just like with any other product, fewer buyers means that those buyers who are still around get the great deals.  The buyers who sit on the sidelines and wait for the news media to tell them that everything is alright will wait until the Chatham NJ Real Estate Market has heated back up, and will have to pay considerably higher prices.

For Sale By Owner can you successfully sell your home on your own??
