Chatham NJ Real Estate Market

The Chatham Real Estate Market is holding its own.  There are currently 127 homes on the market as of the end of June 6th 2007 there were 74 homes under contract.  There has most definitely been a pick up in the number of homes going under contract in the past few weeks.  Hidden by these numbers is  the importance of making sure that you hire the best Realtor to market your home, and to price your home properly from the start.  The old method of pricing a home high and hoping to get it and reducing if you don't does not work well anymore. 

Today pricing a home aggressively as compared to its competition is the best way to make sure to get the best price for your home, and hopefully a bidding war on it as well.  It has not been uncommon for there to be a bidding war on Chatham homes which are priced aggressively.

It is also important to make sure when you are interviewing Realtors to sell your Chatham NJ home, that you ask plenty of questions about how he/she will market your home on the Internet.  Many home sellers may not realize that over 80% of today's home buyers start their search on the Internet, and it has been said that the majority of these buyers only look at 6 homes in person before selecting the home they actually purchase.  The old style of placing it in the MLS and running a few newspaper adds just does not work any more.  Where do you want your Chatham home Marketed??
