When you need a short ULS for something like a blog post which typically has a long URL what can you do?
I was wondering this very thing the other day. I did not have time or the desire to go out and purchase a domain name and then point it at the blog post. So I asked in the blog section of the Real Estate Webmasters Forum if anyone had any ideas. Next thing I know suggestions are coming in to use Tiny URL's tinyurl.com.
What a great solution. I have used it for several blog posts with great success.
Here is one of them for the blog post A New Local Real Estate Transfer Tax?? The normal URL was http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/blogs/james-boyer/2473/show/ but after Tiny URL's help http://tinyurl.com/35rmxl
Thank you Tiny URL's and Thank you Real Estate Webmasters for hosting such a great real estate and blog technology focused forum and blog platform. You are such a help to all of us time pressed Realtors and Mortgage brokers.

Personally I don't use TinyURL, I use URLHawk (http://urlhawk.com) because it allows you to track your clicks, also optionally protect, mask and customise. I use it as a bookmarking website because I can create the names I want.

My only problem with Tiny URL is that you lose all the branding normally associated with a great domain name, also 35rmxl with no html php extentions etc can be hard to remember, and just as difficult to type in. Certainly a good solution in some cases,
