Morris County Parks Commission To Rehab 9 Dams
Posted Jan 20, 2008 @ 4:16 pm, Viewed by 706 Visitors, Read 743 Times.The Morris County Parks Commission based in Morris Twp NJ is trying to put together a plan to rehab as many as 9 dams some of which have been deemed unsafe. The dams being looked at include the following:
Kay Pond Dam, in the Black River Park in Chester Township
Ledell's Park Dam, in Lewis Morris Park in Mendham Township
Oak Ridge Lake dam at the Berkshire Valley Golf Course in Jefferson
Sunrise Lake dam at Lewis Morris Park in Mendham Township
Loantaka Brook dam in Morris Township
Black River dam and the Windy Hill dam at Black River Park in Chester Township
Pyramid Mountain Park dam in Montville
Doland dam in Boonton Township
The Morris County park commission is seeking bids, which are due Jan. 31, for individual costs to rehabilitate the nine dams or to remove them.
