I would like to welcome Cold Coffee Media and the Satellite Gallery to La Grande!  Just the company our county needs, Cold Coffee is commited to connecting Eastern Oregon with the rest of the world through the internet.  Recently open by locals Chris Jennings and Mike Surber, Cold Coffee is located downtown on Depot Street. 

If you're in town, be sure to stop by and see them.  The studio shares a space with the Satellite Gallery, also started by Chris and Mike.  No small town joke, the gallery is a high class venue for local artists to display their work.  Cold Coffee and the Satellite Gallery will prove themselves to be the breeding ground of the developing art, music and web scene in La Grande.

The face of the Grande Ronde Valley is beautiful Mount Emily.  Covered in Ponderosa and full of game, Mount Emily is a sight to behold.  The Blue Mountain Single Track Club maintains an extensive trail system throughout the forests where locals ride horses, bike or hike.  I love to ride my mountain bike all over the mountain!  The Grande Ronde Valley is outdoor recreation at its best!  Come check us out!

The last few weeks of winter remind me of my childhood.  Cold and snowy, we finally are seeing significant accumulation once again!  The mountains are covered and shining in the sun, the Ponderosa is drooping with snow and the valley is as white as I have seen it in years.  Anthony Lakes Ski Resort and Spout Springs Ski Resort have a great base and are covered in powder.  Union County is a great place to live if you love the outdoors!  Come check us out!
