Will the Hard Rock Theme Park be positive for Myrtle Beach Real Estate?

Hard Rock Theme ParkFor years now, people entering Myrtle Beach via Highway 501 have been sitting in traffic jams crossing over the Intracoastal Waterway and have unfortunately had to gaze upon the eyesore that was once the  thriving Waccamaw Factory Shoppes.  Ever since these shops closed, the area quickly became run down, dilapidated, and abandoned.  Most residents, including myself, are very optimistic that the Hard Rock theme park will restore life to that area of Myrtle Beach.

The 400 million dollar, 140-acre Hard Rock Park will include six music themed zones, a Jamaican water play area, a 10,000 seat amphitheater, restaurants, and comedy shows.  It will also feature the tallest roller coaster in the state, themed after the famous band Led Zeppelin.  The Park is expected to attract 30,000 visitors per day during the peak season and is also set to employ 2,500 people.

This is great news for area business owners and will also attract new commercial development.  As the Park is already under construction, several small businesses are popping up in that area with theme names.  Established business owners are extremely excited about the Park’s arrival as they expect it to create large increases in traffic to the Grand Strand.

A number of residential neighborhoods and condos are in the area of the Hard Rock Park.  World Tour Golf Villas, The Villages of Arrowhead, Berkshire Forest, Waterway Palms Plantation, Carolina Waterway Plantation, The Bluffs on the Waterway, and many others are less than a five minute drive to the Hard Rock Theme Park.

As regular vacationers and new visitors to our area become aware of the Hare Rock Theme Park, they will see the exciting alternative to beach front rental properties.  Investors should take note of short-term rental property opportunities in the area.  River Oaks is within walking distance to the park and has an on-site rental and management company.  Riverwalk, in the Arrowhead development offers condos along the golf course and Intracoastal Waterway that allow short term rentals as well.

Based on all this I believe the Hard Rock Theme Park is going to be very positive for Myrtle Beach Real Estate.  If you would like more information about residential and commercial opportunities in the areas surrounding the Park please contact me today!

I've always wanted to check out one of those Hard Rock Parks. Maybe next time I make my way down to the states. They sound pretty amazing.
