The latest project will be developed on the existing Waccamaw Factory Shoppes site. Polar Investments Ltd. recently purchased the 52 acre site and is planning a $300 million complex to include a hotel, homes, retail shops, and a recreation area.
Another retail center has been proposed for the property across from the park’s entrance. The centers’ developers are planning 34,000 square feet of retail space, restaurants, a convenience store, and a time share office.
The Hard Rock Theme Park is set to open in May of 2008 which is a month later than the original opening date of April 2008. A single day pass will cost $46 and season passes which went on sale October 22nd and will cost $150.
