Panama City Florida Condo Sales #1 statewide
Posted Nov 21, 2007 @ 9:36 am, Viewed by 398 Visitors, Read 409 Times.According to the Florida Association of REALTORS® (FAR) the Panama City Real Estate Condo Market continues to show as a positive real estate market investment opportunity!
The recently released quarterly sales for condos and homes by The Florida Association of REALTORS® (FAR) show the Panama City Condo real estate market continuing an upward progression.
Through out Florida, sales of existing condos declined by about 26 percent between Quarter 3 of 2006 and Quarter 3 of 2007. However, Panama City shows a net increase of 38 percent between Quarter 3 of 2006 and Quarter 3 of 2007 giving Panama City real estate the best results in the entire state!
As for sales of existing single-family homes, a statewide decline of 29 percent between Quarter 3 of 2006 and Quarter 3 of 2007 is helping to adjust that market segment further. Panama City however, shows a more positive trend with a net decrease of only 8 percent in Quarter 3 2007 as opposed to Quarter 3 2006.
This once again places the Panama City real estate market as the third best position statewide! Single-family and condominium sales segments continue to correct in their prospective market segments as sellers become more realistic and buyers continue to recognize the potential for long-term sustainable growth and appreciation in the Panama City and Northwest Florida real estate markets.

I commented on your foreclosure blog but here's the short version: Panama City is seeing mostly (not all of course) over-extended investor foreclosures. Unlike your area, we are at the beginning of a major growth opportunity. Perhaps someday we'll catch up to your market.
