Patience

As you may know we have recently been working on a number of short sales here in the Sacramento area. This includes working with both sellers and buyers. They clearly add a level of complexity and administrative work to each transaction and require an extreme level of patience from everyone involved.
Each lender has their own process and requirements which is understandable but some are so much more difficult to work with. Wells Fargo in particular seems to be at the top of the “wish we didn’t have to work with” list. They appear to employ a delaying strategy which I don’t understand. Everything you fax to them gets returned asking for one more piece of information. When you place the date in wrong place they send it back. When you correct that they return it again asking for the borrower’s social security number. It just seems to go on and on and makes it frustrating for both buyer and seller.
Short sales have become so prevalent that even our MLS now breaks them out on their various forms. In this world where you can get and do almost anything very quickly, I think we will need some patience pills. Can I order them on the internet with overnight delivery?

Nice post Julie, as are all the posts I've read of yours.  I was checking out your website and you win the top spot for best agent pic.  Your smile is priceless!
