Buying a home in Roseville is not easy

What are the chances a house that has been on the market for over 200 days, built in the 70’s and has never been remodeled or even well maintained now has three offers to buy? I think something does not smell right. Has the Sacramento real estate market returned to the pre-2005 era where you put the house on MLS and headed to the fax machine to get the first offer?

Thanks "missroark" for the comment. Well, my clients decided not to respond and as of today, October 1, the other agent has not called us so maybe he did have other offers. We are off looking at other homes, which there are plenty of.

That is interesting. I may be in a multiple offer situation myself tonight but this house, as you said, is cute, ready to move into and only 8 years old.
This past fall, I had multiple offer on a house I had staged and listed and the other agent asked for "proof" of the prior offer in the form of a contract with the names/numbers blacked out. This seemed rather silly to me because if I were going to lie about having another offer (I wasn't), what would prevent me from just filling in a contract with whatever information I wanted.
It does seem fishy in the case you mention...I'd be interested in knowing how it turns out.
