The 2011 sales statistics are in from the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®. Here is a list of how prices stack up for single family homes in the villages I work the most in.
| Village | Average Sales Price |
| Frankfort | $327,992 |
| Homer Glen |
$317,170 |
| Lemont | $356,828 |
| Lockport | $195,910 |
| Mokena | $316,507 |
| Oak Lawn | $165,791 |
| Orland Hills | $179,738 |
| Orland Park | $318,088 |
| Palos Heights | $276,179 |
| Palos Park | $424,576 |
| Tinley Park | $217,875 |
It was interesting to see that Palos Park once again claimed the
title it held for years of being the most expensive southwest
Chicago suburb. Lemont overtook Palos Park last year but is once
again 2nd in line as the most priciest village.
Oak Lawn continues trailing at the bottom of the price range, meaning you get more for your money in this popular southwest suburb. Oak Lawn has the last suburban Metra train stop to downtown Chicago so you can get to work quicker.
Orland Hills is the next lowest priced southwest suburb. This is a small village nestled between Tinley Park and Orland Park. You can easily access Tinley Park and Orland Park amenities but pay Orland Hills prices.
If you're considering buying and/or selling in any of these villages (or others that are nearby) give Judy Orr a call at 708-536-8200 or Contact Me.
