Just curious if anyone has had any recent success on getting their website added to dmoz.org?  I attempted to submit my Saskatoon real estate site several months ago and haven't seen it posted yet.  I know that it is a human edited directory and it can sometimes take a long time.  I did apply to become an editor but have not heard anything back from that either.  Does having your website listed in dmoz.org still carry a lot of weight for search engine rankings?  Thanks!

As a Canadian real estate agent I've been approached by several clients about the US real estate market and it's current condition.  I know that some areas have been hit harder than others and in most cases it is a buyers market.  I have a few clients that are currently looking to invest in the United States and I am curious what markets are seen as the best investment opportunities?  Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you were to look at some of my previous posts you will see I released my website just over 2 months ago.  I made a commitment to myself that I would take a set a short amount of time each week and tweak my website and continute to try other tricks that I learnt from the net to increase my web presence.  I am very excited to say that I have started to see some great results from my efforts after 2 short months.  My website is now ranked within many of the top ten keyword searches I am targeting as well on the verge with the remaining ones.  My website has gained a PR rating of 3.  I haven't spent a huge amount of time on it but I've stuck to a schedule and because of that I have started to see some great progress.  I have been getting some great contacts…

I often look on public sites and classifieds and read about people who have been given eviction notices, not much notice, nowhere to go, etc. I feel really bad for these people, so what is going on with our system? I would think with welfare this shouldn't be happening. Excuse my ignorance here though, maybe our welfare system isn't what it should be. I have always worked so I really wouldn't know.

The almighty dollar and the want for more of it causes too many unfortunate people to be left without a safe place to live. Property owners all over the city are raising rent to keep at par with the rest of the city, but chances are they purchased when the prices weren't that high so why do they need to over charge people? I know you can't do things for free…

I am very happy to say that after many late nights and hard work my website is finally online.  I believe a website is extremely important in todays market especially for someone who is new to the game such as myself.  I am relatively new to website design/marketing and know from what I read it is something that you must stay on top of.  The Saskatoon real estate market is growing at an incredible rate and it's critical to be sure that people can find you easily.  I am determined to learn as much as I can about web marketing and use this to my advantage.  I would appreciate any feedback people would like to give on the site as I will always look for ways to improve my site.  Thanks for any feedback!
