dmoz.org success?

I attempted to submit my Saskatoon real estate site several months ago and haven't seen it posted yet. I know that it is a human edited directory and it can sometimes take a long time. I did apply to become an editor but have not heard anything back from that either. Does having your website listed in dmoz.org still carry a lot of weight for search engine rankings? Thanks!

Carrie, this sort of question is more appropriate for the forum (Which is more of a chat) and not so much appropriate for the blogs (More of a place to write unique articles)
