Locals in and out of the Equestrian community here in Wellington Florida, an Equestrian stronghold as well as all other Equestrian circles are talking about the Stadium Jumping move and Mark Bellissimo's plans for LittleFarms. Media Phelps group, a local Public Relations company has been issuing press releases about Stadium Jumping and Jean Mische and the news agencies are picking it up like there is no tomorrow! It makes the non horse people wonder what all the fuss is about and also ask " what does this have to do me?" Well, it has a lot to do with you and every resident of Wellington Florida. In fact, all the residents of Palm Beach County are affected by these guys. Why? Because horse money is very important to our economy here in Wellington, Florida and Palm Beach County. Read : Why are Stadium Jumping and Equestrian Events Such A Hot Topic Right Now. In this article you will find out how much money we are talking about here and how much our communities really depend on the Equestrian money.

There has been a long time divide between the Equestrian people and what they bring to the community and what they want in the community and the Suburbanites who want parks and roads. There needs to be a balance between these two groups. The Wellington Village Counsel needs to take into consideration where they are getting their money to build parks!

Now each of these guys that have been feuding have their own entourage of backers and supporters. So let's put this all into perspective.

Glen Straub finally came to terms with Mark Bellissimo in a $25 Million settlement . Glen Straub owns the Polo Stadium and fields, the Polo Club and the Equestrian Club. As a newcomer to Wellington Mark Bellissimo had not proved his ability to be able to put together successful Equestrian events. Back in June of 2006 all these guys were pals. Then the partnerships started to fall apart. There are politics involved with these big money maker events and the folks behind them. Here is another article about Mark Bellissimo's troubles in Equestrian Paradise.

Ronnie Beard, a long time friend and supporter of Stadium Jumping and Jean Mische wrote about his opinion on this whole saga. He is taking note on the behavior of the Village Counsel members and how they are performing reminding them that election time is coming around again. Ronnie states in his article: " For years, in order to compete at the International level, we needed to travel to Europe. We still need to go to Europe for events, but now, because of the efforts of Stadium Jumping, Europe is starting to need to come to us. Wellington now hosts the only Nations Cup in our country."

The Village counsel is not considering the economic impact in their constant delays in making decisions about Stadium Jumping's move and Mark Bellissimo's projects. Real Estate from farms to rentals is at a near standstill because of the village's indecision. Many people coming to these events have not made their reservations at this time yet. Wellington stands to lose this revenue. They need to get their act together and come together for our economy. They are so interested in raising taxes but here is a golden opportunity for more revenue and they sit around passing the buck. Well, we need the buck to stay here!
