In recent years the price of Tampa condos for sale seemed to only know one direction – upwards! The price of the average condo recognized above average price increases for five years in a row but recently, Tampa condo’s are finally beginning to stabilize in price making them attractive to potential home owners and investors.  Find out if buying a condo is a good idea for your lifestyle or not with this quick quiz.

1. I am Searching for a Maintenance Free Lifestyle

Retirees, singles and others searching for a low maintenance lifestyle may enjoy the freedom and convenience of a condo. Condo’s often include many amenities like a pool, club house, grounds, gym and other extras that would require extensive time and cost to maintain as part of a single family home or property.

2. I would like to Purchase a Vacation or Second Home

Condos make great vacation or second homes especially for those thinking of retiring in a few years. If you intend to rent out the condo to offset the cost of ownership be sure to find out the rental policy of the condo association in advance. Many associations limit or restrict the type of rentals you may have.

3. I Live a Jet Set Lifestyle

Middle aged workers with a jet-set lifestyle will find the proximity of Tampa International Airport combined with beaches and relatively low cost of living a very attractive package. Relax and have fun in the sun during your time away from work without having to worry about crime or other problems while traveling. Condo living reduces the time and cost associated with upkeep and maintenance but also reduces the incidence of crime while you are away traveling.

4. I Will Send Kids to College

If you have young children then one of the best investments you might ever make is to purchase a home that allows the child to live near campus, obtain in-state tuition and take advantage of tax deductions and rising appreciation related to the purchase of real estate….without the maintenance and other concerns of home ownership.

5. I’m Thinking of Downsizing

Those nearing retirement age might find the idea of buying a condo near the water a perfect way to afford the lifestyle they have dreamed of without slaving to meet the mortgage payments or the high cost of property insurance.
