It was so exciting to see a dusting of snow the other day here in Conroe, Texas on my deck at home. Being near Houston, we NEVER get snow. It was certainly a taste of snow for Christmas. Having moved here from Maine, many of my clothes are wool and warm for the winter. What a treat it was to be a part of the audience for this first musical production at the new Performing Arts Center (PAC) located on the campas of John Cooper school in The Woodlands. With much "doom and gloom" in the media about the nationwide housing market, those of us who live in Montgomery County, (Conroe, Lake Conroe, The Woodlands, Willis, Magnolia and Montgomery) are "smell'in like a rose" -- a yellow Texas rose! New Shopping at JCPennys Teas Crossing In Conroe Texas! Many of us have been watching with anticipation as the new shopping center at Teas Crossing is being completed. Fall Aquatic Programs at the Brand New Natatorium Conroe Independent School District (CISD) has a new swimming center on the east side of I-45 behind the Portofino Shopping Center on David Memorial Rd. in Shenandoah, Texas. Conroe Regional Medical Center is really stepping up its service and fascilities to better serve our growing community. Periodically, the medical center holds health fairs that give information, free health screening and lectures on numerous topics.
