Montgomery County Youth wins poster contest. With so many of our young people being on the computer with computer games and chatting, some of the other "arts" are being lost in the shuffle. Reading, drawing, and painting are not always in the top 5 favorite things to do when they come home from school. One fifth-grader in Grangerland intermediate school created a colorful poster that won first place in the 2008 Texas Arbor Day poster contest sponsored locally by the Montgomery County Beautification Association. His name, Michael Eppinett, and his prize was $500. He used his creative brain and now represents a good role model for his friends and classmates. There were a total of 1,510 posters submitted by the 23 area schools of the county. Congratulations Michael, for a job well done!
