Fall Aquatic Programs at the Brand New Natatorium Conroe Independent School District

Fall Aquatic Programs at the Brand New Natatorium Conroe Independent School District (CISD) has a new swimming center on the east side of I-45 behind the Portofino Shopping Center on David Memorial Rd. in Shenandoah, Texas. I had the priviledge of viewing this wonderful structure with its huge swimming pool of 20 lanes for swimmers and 2 diving board sections for high and low diving. The Natatorium's goal is to provide programs that will enrich the lives of the students, faculty and staff, and parents and community. It is located next to the new, outdoor football stadium where The Woodlands HS, College Park HS and Oakridge HS play their games and use the locker room facilities in the Natatorium. A Gold Medal Swimming Clinic was scheduled for Sat. September 20 where one of this year's Olympic Gold Medalists came to train and inspire the youth of the area. It is a quality facility like this that show us the planning and care that our community in The Woodlands and Conroe take when it comes to people of all ages in this area.
