A Taste Of Snow For Our Texas Christmas
Posted Dec 18, 2008 @ 11:09 am, Viewed by 540 Visitors, Read 553 Times. It was so exciting to see a dusting of snow the other day here in Conroe, Texas on my deck at home. Being near Houston, we NEVER get snow. It was certainly a taste of snow for Christmas. Having moved here from Maine, many of my clothes are wool and warm for the winter. Texas shines in the winter when you can be swimming at the YMCA in an outdoor pool during December (which I did one December!) Montgomery County has great weather with some cold weather in the winter and many days of sunny 65 degree weather also. Our homes here in Conroe, Lake Conroe, and The Woodlands are increasing in value because of this weather. If you are tired of living in the state that you are in and driving in snow "knee deep", think about our area to relocate to. Our home prices are very good compared to many other areas of the country. You can find a very nice 2500 sq. ft. home for around $250,000 and our luxury homes start at only $450,000. -- Linda Dayen
