Family Homes in the East Lake Corridor of Palm Harbor

Many people ask for my opinion on some of the best family neighborhoods in the East Lake area Palm Harbor and Tarpons Springs .  While there are many to choose from, some stand out from the rest in terms of affordability for a growing family and location to the schools. 

First, I would suggest looking at homes in Boot Ranch and Brookers Landing.  Homes in these subdivisions have been around a few years but have been maintained very well.  The homes are not so large that the price gets prohibitive for a growing family and I think they are a good first choice. 

Secondly, a little farther north, but still in the East Lake area is Woodfield.  Woodfield consists of Lakeshore Village, Shadowlake Village, Fieldstone Village, and Oaklake Village.  Again, these are great family neighborhoods that most families can afford.  The homes are very well cared for and there is a beautiful entrance off Keystone Road and many ponds throughout the community.

Another subdivision is Cypress Woods.  This small subdivision is often missed or overlooked, yet it is so appealing and in a great central East Lake location. Homes are a little higher priced and a little bigger, but this neighborhood is within walking distance to the highly rated Cypress Woods Elementary School.

In addition, the Ridgemoor community has many individual subdivisions that can appeal to families.  There are even some maintenance free villas that are not just for seniors who may be downsizing.  Even first time homebuyers or families on a budget can find a great deal here.  Salem Village and Salem Square are two examples.

Then, if you are looking for a large home on a large homesite, consider Keystone Ranchettes or Oakhill Acres.  In both these subdivisions there are homesites big enough for you to have a horse or two.  It's hard to believe, I know, but these two subdivisions have to be seen to be believed.
